Summer Term 2022

The Hullabaloo Summer Term starts on Monday 16th May, and runs through to our celebration gig on Saturday 16th July.

Come and Join Us for a Summer full of song!

Over the last twenty years, Hullabaloo’s choral escapades have taken us from London to Leicester, Aberystwth to Arundel and Whitby to Worthing! But we also love performing in Brighton & Hove and our Summer performance on Saturday 16th July will be on our home turf – in St George’s Church in Kemptown, in collaboration with A Choir with No Name.

Our venue for this term is St Paul’s Primary School, St Nicholas Road. BN1 3LP (Click on image for map), this has a larger hall for social distancing, which can be well ventilated, and it has parking on site. See section below for further information.

We’d really love to welcome returning Hullabaloo members, as well as regular Hulla folk and brand new singers! We’d especially like to welcome more men, and more high singers – but everyone is welcome in the Hulla Tribe! Let’s get back together! See you Monday 16th May!

Please see the Dates and Fees pages

We would like a balance of parts (as much as possible)

A quick note about COVID – we still need to be careful, of course, even though the powers that be now consider it to be ‘over’. Please take a Lateral Flow Test before coming singing, if you can, but obviously don’t come if you are feeling any kind of COVID symptoms.  Let’s continue to protect each other.

Please email with

  • your first and last name,
  • phone number
  • whether for a taster session or for the whole term

You can turn up to one of our open sessions and fill in a form, too (wow! – just like the old days!)

Our rehearsals are at St Paul’s Primary School, St Nicholas Road, Brighton. BN1 3LP.

There are gates on entry, which will be automatically open until 7pm – they are then on a keypad entry . We will staff this until about 7:20pm for latecomers – please try to be punctual!!! There is a main door and a side door for level access to the hall. Social distancing will be at 1m, not 2m, in the main hall, which has 2 doors to the outside and windows along one wall for ventilation. There is a capacity of about 60 singers in the venue. Masks will need to be worn entering and moving around the venue and we request that you take a lateral flow test (if possible) before attending (there will be tests available at the door, if you can’t access one). There will be a tea break – you will be responsible for socially distancing outside the main hall. Further details will be included in the session emails and during rehearsals.

There is parking for over 20 cars – do car share, if possible! St Nicholas Road is one way – entry is via Upper Gloucester Road.
