Hullabaloo is BACK and ready for an amazing autumn term at our new home – Friends Meeting House, Ship St, Brighton BN1 1AF (Click on image for map)
We know that not everyone will be able to join us ‘In the Room’ so we’ll be running this term as a ‘Room and Zoom’ term. This means that if you are still isolating/ shielding, or if you don’t live in Brighton, you can join in via Zoom, live and direct from our rehearsal space. We worked hard last year to make this a really satisfying experience for both Roomers and Zoomers.
Zoomers, we shall be placing the Zooming device as if you are an in-room person ie not directly in front of Kirsty.
Roomers, please see venue details below
We’d really love to welcome returning Hullabaloo members, as well as regular Hulla folk and brand new singers! We’d especially like to welcome more men, and more high singers – but everyone is welcome in the Hulla Tribe! Let’s get back together! See you Monday 13th!
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your first and last name and phone number, stating if you are booking for a taster session or for the whole term. You will receive a booking confirmation email with payment details. After payment, you will receive a registration confirmation email and weekly Zoom emails on Sunday evenings.
We would like a balance of parts (as much as possible) and we have limited spaces, as we shall all be socially distanced.
VERY IMPORTANT: Participants will be asked to agree to the PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS and to read and comply with our RISK ASSESSMENT upon booking.
Please email email@example.com with your first and last name, phone number and preferred voice part (High, Mid or Low – please note that although you may state your preferred harmony part, you may be moved in the interest of balance!), stating if you are booking for a taster session or for the whole term and that you have read the Risk Assessment and agree to the Participation Conditions.
Our rehearsals are at Friends’ Meeting House Garden, Ship Street, Brighton, BN1 1 AF.
We shall be using the back entrance in the Laines, – the front gate will be staffed as an entrance only for bikes and disabled access from 6:45pm-7pm. We shall be socially distancing at 1m, not 2m, in the main hall. We have a capacity of 60 singers in the venue – 40 downstairs and 20 upstairs in the balcony. We shall need a third of singers to use the balcony area, accessed by stairs only – this does not need to be the same singers each week. There is no lift to the balcony area and we shall have the windows open – but we have hardy Hullas!! Masks will need to be worn entering and moving around the venue. There is a cafe area for the tea break (no drinks other than water are allowed in the main hall) – you will be responsible for socially distancing in the one-way system during the break, outside the main hall.
